The Center for Complex Systems Studies is involved in two academic concentrations offered by Kalamazoo College.

Neuroscience

The neuroscience program is an interdisciplinary concentration that integrates biology, biochemistry, psychology, physics, mathematics, computational modeling and philosophy. This concentration is offered to advanced students interested in confluence of these traditional disciplines.

Biological Physics

Offered as a concentration within the biology major, biological physics relies on an increasing understanding of biological systems from a physical point of view. In particular, physics, mathematics, and computer science are becoming more essential now than ever before. The biological physics concentration is designed to supplement the background usually provided in a standard biology, chemistry, or physics major.
